About Learning Leaps
Your Hometown Behavior Analysts!
Brooke Manion and Kristin Osley Volner founded Learning Leaps Behavioral Services Inc. in August of 2011. Brooke and Kristin started Learning Leaps after working in the local public school district and realizing there were no Applied Behavior Analysis services available for children before reaching Kindergarten. Therefore, many children diagnosed with Autism were engaging in problem behaviors too severe for a public school classroom. Learning Leaps’ initial mission was to provide high quality, in-home based services to children between the ages of 3 years and 5 years old in Lake County.
As Brooke and Kristin continued to work in Lake County, parents of older children began to reach out to request ABA services that would address problem behaviors occurring in the home and community, so Learning Leaps began offering after school in-home sessions to meet the needs of these families.
In June of 2016, Learning Leaps Behavioral Services, Inc. opened their first clinic in Tavares. The clinic was the first of it’s kind in the north Lake County area and offers multiple intensive ABA-based therapy programs for children throughout the area.
Learning Leaps prides itself on being a small, homegrown therapy clinic that caters to the community’s needs. We are not a large corporation and keep our numbers small so that we can provide personalized, high-quality services to each child enrolled in our programs. We limit our service area to children who live in Lake County to ensure our therapy standards remain high. Brooke and Kristin, the owners, are still at the clinic throughout the week working side by side with their staff and getting to know the families we serve. Additionally, all of our staff are very active in the community and most live in Lake County. Because Learning Leaps remains an intimate boutique-style therapy clinic, we can also develop new program services as our families request them. In fact, this is how our Academic Tutoring program was developed. Our clients also benefit from the flexibility that comes with maintaining a small staff to client ratio.
Finally, Learning Leaps loves giving back to Lake County. We strive to hire local talent and support our employees through continued education, certification, and on-going training.
